200 Hour Teacher Training

Dual Certification | 200 Hour RYT & Balanced Athlete Level 1

We are super excited to announce Centre Yoga's 200 hour teacher training offering the Sacred Seeds Yoga School program, created by Jacqui Bonwell and the Level One Balanced Athlete™ Certification created by Johnny Gillespie. Lead teachers, Jen Murray and Michelle Powers along with Jacqui Bonwell, Erica Magro, Johnny Gillespie and other guest teachers come together to provide a truly transformational experience.

This training will include intense study of asana (postures), pranayama, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques.

Also included in this program:

  • Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting, and instruction
  • An exploration of various styles of yoga, the qualities of a teacher, the business aspect of yoga and the student experience
  • Human physical anatomy and physiology, energetic anatomy and physiology
  • All benefits, contraindications and healthy movement patterns will be explored, as well as injury and modifications
  • Yoga philosophy, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers
  • Business and marketing techniques

You will spend a significant amount of time practice teaching, receiving feedback and observing others teaching.

You will spend time assisting in the training and will have a requirement of non-contact hours of book reports, observing classes inside & outside the training as well as assisting yoga classes. Reading will be a big piece of your self study.

In order to become a powerful, well-equipped teacher, you MUST be dedicated to your training, your practice, your reading & your study. This program meets the Yoga Alliance requirements to be 200 hour certified teacher under Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

REGISTRATION

  • Non-refundable $500 deposit to secure your spot
  • A personal letter of intention emailed to owner@centreyogastudios.com
  • Signed program agreement (please email me for the contract)

INVESTMENT

EARLYBIRD TUITION: $2,500
Due August 1, 2018: your program contract and full tuition for EarlyBird
(this amount includes your $500 non-refundable deposit)

  • To hold your spot in the program please send your non-refundable deposit of $500 immediately along with your program contract - the remaining $2,500 is due by August 1.
  • Due Sept 1, 2108 is your statement of intention (see below for what to include).

REGULAR TUITION & PAYMENT PLANS: $2,800

  • Your $500 non-refundable deposit is due as soon as possible along with your program contract.
  • The remaining tuition of $2,800 and statement of intention are due by the deadline of September 1, 2018.

*Checks or cash are the preferred method of payment but paying with a credit card is an option. 

STATEMENT OF INTENTION

In your two page, double spaced statement of intention, please include the following:

  • Why does the yoga practice speak to you?
  • Why do you wish to teach?
  • What is your vision for your training?
  • How long you have been practicing (and for any who are already teachers, how long you have been teaching, your training background and where you currently teach)?
  • Please include your hobbies, interests, likes, dislikes and any personal information/background you would like to share
  • Please also include any history of injuries, any current physical conditions (past, present or future surgeries or illnesses should also be included)
  • Please include an idea of your diet, health and exercise, personal beliefs and any current or past history of medication, hospitalization and any mental health history that you feel would be helpful for us to know

Statements of Intention are to be emailed to: owner@centreyoagstudios.com. It's best to secure your spot as soon as you know if the dates are going to flow!

Please note, make up hours are your responsibility and must be approved subject material. If you need to make up any hours, this will be an additional cost to you outside of program costs. While it's okay to make up work if you have to miss a day, I HIGHLY discourage missing a training weekend. So many things arise in the group and your presence in mind, heart and body is imperative!
